Mom's Baked Steak

4 patties of minute steak or chopped steak
Salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you want
Flour
Butter
Family size (26-oz) can of cream of mushroom soup

Preheat oven to 350.

Lightly grease a baking dish and spread about 1/3 to 1/2 of the soup on the bottom of the dish (enough to just cover the bottom of the dish - otherwise the patties will stick).

Season patties to taste, dredge in flour and brown in melted butter.

Place meat in baking dish on top of soup. Top with remaining soup, spreading it out on each of the patties.

Cover and bake for 2 hours.

Remove from oven and stir gravy well. Serve with mashed potatoes.

Alternative Cooking Method: This is also great made in the crockpot!
